The Executive Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Mayor (Dr.) Jubril Kolawole Emilagba, led a strong and influential delegation to the official declaration of Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, PhD, as he formally declared his gubernatorial aspiration for Kwara State.
The event, which attracted a wide array of political stakeholders, party faithful, and supporters, marked a significant step in Bolarinwa’s political journey and reaffirmed his enduring influence across both Lagos and Kwara political landscapes.
BOB is a seasoned grassroots politician and administrator, as well as a respected leader and stakeholder in Lagos Mainland Local Government. He previously served as Chairman of APC Kwara State, represented Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011, and was a two-term Executive Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government. He also began his political career as a Councillor in Lagos Mainland, demonstrating a long standing commitment to public service and community development.
He also served as former Board Chairman of the National Broadcasting Commission and is a Fellow and Certified International Political Diplomat.
Mayor Emilagba’s presence, alongside key members of his delegation, underscores the strong bond and shared political history between Lagos Mainland and Bolarinwa, as well as the growing support for his aspiration.
