The Executive Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Mayor Jubril Emilagba, has commemorated the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) with a call to action for the community to deepen their faith and embody the Prophet's noble example in their daily lives. Speaking at the Maulid Nabiyy celebration 2025/1447 AH, Mayor Emilagba highlighted the significance of the Prophet's teachings, emphasizing the importance of integrity, justice, humility, and compassion.
The Chairman also reflected on the strides made by his administration in the first 30 days in office, including major infrastructure projects, healthcare improvements, and education initiatives. Some notable projects mentioned include road reconstruction, school renovations, and distribution of free educational materials.
Mayor Emilagba expressed his commitment to public welfare and pledged to continue working towards the betterment of the community. Notably, this marks the first time the local government will be celebrating Maulid Nabiyy, which the Chairman promised will be held annually.
The event was attended by prominent community leaders and residents, who praised the Chairman's vision for the development of Lagos Mainland Local Government. Mayor Emilagba prayed for lasting peace, wisdom, and steadfastness for the community.
