The Executive Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Mayor Jubril Kolawole Emilagba, has commenced the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction of Oroku Road in Ebute Metta (West), Lagos. This project is part of the administration's commitment to progress, sustainable development, and dedicated service to the people of Lagos Mainland.
According to Mayor Emilagba, the administration has embarked on several key infrastructure initiatives, including the reconstruction of the road network from Jebba to Okobaba and the rebuilding of the Police Post at Odaliki to enhance security.
In the education sector, the administration has distributed 500 free GCE forms, launched tutorial programs, and is preparing to distribute free exercise books across all public schools in Lagos Mainland. Additionally, renovation work has commenced at U.N.A. Primary School, Oyingbo, and flooding challenges at Kadara Primary School have been addressed.
The administration remains committed to establishing ICT centers in all public primary schools, powered by sustainable solar energy, to prepare children for a digital future.
The groundbreaking ceremony for Oroku Road marks another milestone in the administration's determination to build a stronger and more prosperous Lagos Mainland. All these projects will be formally unveiled during the administration's 100-day celebration in office.
Mayor Emilagba also appealed to residents for patience, understanding, and cooperation, noting that development may sometimes come with temporary inconveniences. However, the long-term benefits will serve the community and future generations.
Mayor Emilagba then prayed that Almighty Allah crown the project with success, grant the community peace, and continue to prosper Lagos Mainland Local Government.
