Very Revd. Bukola Adeleke Urges Christian To Promote Unity, Diversity And Find Common Ground To Agree

The special adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu of Lagos State on religious matters, Very Revd. Bukola Adeleke have admonished Christians to come together,unite,speak with one voice and shun denominational differences.

He added that the country needs unity, appealing to Christians to lay the foundation of love as this brings about strength, promote unity in diversity.


Speaking further, the Reverend Man of God emphasized on the need to find a common ground to agree.

Making his remarks at the paper presentation where he the keynote speaker at the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Lagos Island East Chapter as they Celebrate their week in Lagos. 

The program with the Theme "The Impact Of Christianity In Politics", the special adviser on Religious Matters, stressed in his presentation the need for unity, using Lagos State as an example that God has placed the state in the hand of a God fearing Man, in person of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu who thinks,speaks and act to God's directive which Lagosians are far off better compared to others in terms of social amenities, civil rights and other aspects of democratic dividends.

He went further on the duties as Christians in Nigeria Politics

He said Christians should take up political appointments and affiliate with any political party of their choices.

Christians should participate in the political parties activities to portray truth,loyalty, love and righteousness. 

Christians should exercise their Civic Rights to Vote and be Voted For.

Be the conscience of government, political parties and any organisation they may be (acknowledge their good works and unveil the bad ones).

And to never stop praying for constituted authority and our leaders no matter their status or performance. 

The Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria Lagos Island East Very.Revd Jonathan Osin in his welcome address said the program is aimed as encouraging Christians to participate in politics so as to work together for the progress of the nation.

The Chairman further said Christians should all work together in making Nigeria great. He also encouraged Christians in politics to show themselves as light to the world, as they are representing God to make life better to the people. 


The special adviser then came to a conclusion that as Christian our impacts in reshaping the politics of Nigeria will go a long way to fulfilling God's Mandate for human race and in particular Nigerians home and abroad.
