The Lagos State Government has warned Motorists driving against traffic at Adeniji-Adele inward the Third Mainland Bridge to desist in order to ensure their safety as well as other road users.
The warning, contained in a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, maintained that the Third Mainland Bridge is still under repairs with heavy equipment strategically placed along the stretch of the corridor.
He advised motorists and road users to take responsibility for their safety by abstaining from plying “one-way” on the Bridge to avoid accidents and head-on collisions that may lead to loss of lives.
While imploring all residents, especially motorists plying the axis, to continue to comply with traffic regulations, the Commissioner declared that the ongoing repair work on the Third Mainland Bridge would soon be completed.
