The Executive Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Mayor Dr. Jubril Kolawole Emilagba, has recorded an impressive 8th position in the latest EKO Conference 57 LG/LCDA Performance Ranking, marking a strong debut for his first-term administration.
The ranking, which assesses all 57 Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas in Lagos State, places Lagos Mainland among the top 10 councils for purposeful leadership, project delivery, and people-oriented policies.
In a congratulatory message, stakeholders described the feat as “remarkable” given that it was achieved by a first-time chairman within a short period in office. They noted that the ranking reflects Dr. Emilagba’s strategic vision, commitment to good governance, and relentless drive to deliver impactful projects across the council area.
“Securing a top ten position among 57 councils is a testament to the Chairman’s dedication and unwavering commitment to the development of Lagos Mainland,” the statement read. “It also reflects the collective efforts of the Vice Chairman, Councillors, Supervisors, Management Team, and the entire workforce.”
As a first-term administration, attaining such a margin is seen as a clear indication that Lagos Mainland is on the right path of growth, progress, and sustainable development.
Residents and stakeholders of Lagos Mainland have since celebrated the achievement, expressing optimism that the council will record even greater accomplishments in the months and years ahead.
Dr. Emilagba’s administration has been noted for prioritizing infrastructure, healthcare, education, and youth empowerment since assuming office.
