In response to the all-round activation of the Governor Monday Okpebholo's SHINE Agenda in Edo State, the Special Adviser to Mr. Governor on Women Mobilization (State), Hon. Lady Omorede Osifo, on Thursday the 25th of June, 2026 empowered 25 indigent women traders and artisans in Oredo Ward 6, Oredo Local Government Area with cash grants.
Lady Omorede Osifo saw the need to boost the economic powers of these hardworking, resilient and consistent women who toiled daily to provide for their families. Hence, the former Deputy National Treasurer of the APC thought it wise to support them with these free cash grants.
This generous move is to further clarify the genuine intention of His Excellency Governor Monday Okpebholo of fulfilling the SHINE Agenda, orchestrated for the comprehensive human, structural and economic development of Edolites.
In her remarks, the convener, Lady Omorede Osifo thanked her boss, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo for giving her the opportunity to serve her people, maintaining that women should be united and work towards the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in forthcoming electons.
Beneficiaries who spoke with Black Celebrity Magazine praised Governor Okpebholo for this uncommon supportive gesture while they also thanked Lady Omorede Osifo for aligning with the Governor's philosophy on this magnanimous empowerment.
