Opinion: Kwara 2027: One Ticket, Too Many “Anointed” Candidates

By Abdulakeem Abubakar

As the 2027 governorship race in the All Progressives Congress heats up in Kwara State, some aspirants have turned politics into a game of propaganda and self glorification.

Instead of waiting for delegates and party leaders to decide, certain contenders are already parading themselves as “anointed” or “consensus” candidates before the primary election.

Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi’s recent comments after screening in Abuja further fueled speculations, while supporters of Amb. Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki Gambari continue flooding the media with claims of inevitability.

But political noise is not victory. Sponsored headlines, media hype and staged endorsements cannot replace genuine grassroots acceptance.

There is only one APC ticket  not multiple self declared endorsements.

Kwara people are watching closely as some aspirants desperately try to package themselves as unavoidable choices. Unfortunately, history has shown that propaganda does not win primaries.

By next week, reality will separate genuine political strength from empty noise.
