Deputy Comptroller BL Adigun, the newly appointed Acting Customs Area Controller (CAC) of Kirikiri Lighter Terminal Command, on Tuesday, 16th December 2025, held his first meeting with terminal operators since assuming office. The engagement demonstrated his commitment to open communication and operational efficiency.
The meeting provided a platform for constructive discussions on aligning operational expectations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and improving coordination between Customs and terminal operators to enhance terminal efficiency.
Deputy Comptroller Adigun emphasized the Command’s commitment to integrity and accountability, stressing the importance of compliance, accurate documentation, and transparent procedures as key to protecting revenue, building trust, and fostering a business-friendly environment.
Terminal operators expressed their appreciation for the initiative, highlighting the value of such engagements in strengthening working relationships. They held in-depth discussions on various aspects of terminal operations, offering insights and suggestions for improvement. They commended his leadership approach and prayed for a successful tenure. In response, the Acting CAC assured stakeholders of his dedication to collaboration, practical solutions, and ongoing communication to maintain smooth operations and effective partnerships.
