Mayor Jubril Emilagba Celebrates 100 Days in Office with Tangible Progress in Lagos Mainland








The Executive Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Mayor Jubril Kolawole Emilagba, has marked his 100 days in office with a series of achievements, including the rehabilitation of schools, a police station, and a 75 million naira cash empowerment program for residents.

The event, held on November 26, 2025, at Odaliki Street, Apapa Road, was attended by dignitaries, including HRM Oba Muh'Bashir Abisoye Odesanya, Arokusha II, Oloto of Otto, Iddo & Mainland; Hon. Olawale Oshun, Lagos Mainland Apex Leader; and Hon. Raheem Olajide Jimoh, Member, Federal Capital Civil Service Commission.



The Executive Chairman, Mayor Jubril Kolawole Emilagba in his welcome address said when he assumed office on July 28, 2025, he made a clear promise to build a Local Government that delivers, listens, and leads with integrity. He said first 100 days have been defined by action, impact, and visible transformation across every sector,the achievements highlight today are not for him alone, they belong to every resident, every stakeholder, and every partner working tirelessly to shape a better Lagos Mainland,the Chairman said.


Mayor Emilagba while speaking to newsmen said he is prepared for the job and experienced former Vice chairman who have served the local government for years and he is prepared for the job and all what he is doing for 100 days for the local government is not by accident, he knows what the community needs and that's what he is discharging to them is showcasing what they have to provide the future for the people and also appreciated the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR and the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and all leaders because they know the council chairman is prepared to serve as Executive Chairman of Lagos Mainland. He then charge parents of the renovated schools to patronize their schools having competent teachers and standard not like before and by 2026 they are moving to another schools so that the parent will know that All Progressive Congress is the only party that cares for their future.

The Vice Chairman Hon. Moshood Momoh in his welcome address said over the past 100 days, their administration, under the purposeful leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon.Jubril Kolawole Emilagba, has worked tirelessly to deliver people-centered governance and uphold the progressive ideals of their great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). He said together, they have taken bold steps, launched impactful initiatives, and strengthened the foundation for sustainable development across the communities,from improving service delivery, enhancing community engagement, supporting youth and women empowerment, advancing infrastructure, and promoting peace and unity, their first 100 days reflect their commitment to leadership that listens, leadership that works, and leadership that truly serves.

Hon. Mohmoh assured residents of Local Government to expect impactful dividends of democracy from the chairman because 2025 has been a glorious year which 2026 will be much better,more of capital project,social infrastructures,education, health,and all sectors as his administration is ascribed to as the renewed hope of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Oloto of Otto,iddo & Mainland, HRM Oba Muh'Bashir Abisoye Odesanya,AROKUSHA,the apex Leader,Lagos Mainland Hon. Olawale Oshun and other top members of the party in their goodwill messages eulogized Mayor Emilagba and his team for comingup with the vital projects that is being touched concerning security the police station as they have seen schools renovated covering education and asking for more,saying they are very expectant for his 4years and also pleading not to slow down because he started well with the right speed.

The commissioner of Police Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh appreciated the Chairman for the renovation, which what he has done is significant because a police station has been rebuilt and with the subject to the approval of the IGP its going to be a police station and improving the strength so that they will have enough police men at hand to be able to ensure security and safety within the environment,he said other local government should emulate the Lagos Mainland Local Government Chairman and kudos goes to the Governor of Lagos State Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for giving them the enablement to be able to assist the police in securing Lagos better.

Beneficiaries of the cash empowerment program expressed gratitude to Mayor Emilagba for his philanthropic efforts, promising to utilize the funds wisely.

The event featured the distribution of cash empowerment to beneficiaries, the handing over of the Odaliki Police Station to the police, and the presentation of a security bus to security personnel.
