Mayor Emilagba Jubril Kolawole the Executive Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government today commemorate activities celebrating it's 100 Days in Office with Stakeholders Engagement and Distribution of Sanitary and Environmental Tools to Community Development Association (CDAs) within Lagos Mainland.
In his key note address, Mayor Emilagba stresses the importance of a cleaner environment in alliance with the THEMES+ Agenda of Lagos State.
"Today's gathering reflects our shared commitment to building a cleaner, safer, and healthier environment for all residents."
The council boss highlights the strategic steps this administration has embarked upon to improve hygiene, safety and overall livability of the neighborhood which includes massive desilting and clearing of major and inner drainages channels in all wards, removing blockages and improving water flow to reduce flooding.
Intensive environmental exercises, clearing of refuse black spots and removal of illegal dump sites.
Emilagba urged the Environment Department of the local government to set up a committee to monitor the environmental activities of all CDAs as the cleanest CDA will be rewarded with the Cash Award.
In his welcome address, the CDC chairman Alhaji Muiz Salako appreciates the Executive Chairman for working tirelessly to maintain a cleaner environment in Lagos Mainland. He urged all CDAs to utilize and monitor all tools presented to them.
Goodwill messages from APC leaders Prince Fagba, Hon. Jamiu Makanjuola, Hon. Yomi Thomas, all in unison, applauds Mayor Emilagba for his unwavering commitment to environmental management and sanitation.
Sanitary tools presented include races, Brooms, Shovels, wheelbarrows, raincoats, Disposable refuse bags, pickers, and more.
The chairman of Ijero Shonola CDA, Mr Babalola Thomas, on behalf of all CDAs, appreciates the administration of Mayor Emilagba for this laudable gesture.
Representative from the Environmental Health Directorate, Director Mrs Betty Albert, in her message, lauded the chairman for the great program. She encouraged the residents to continue patronising PSP and dispose their refuse with great hygiene.
Present at the event is the Vice Chairman Hon Momoh Adewale Moshood, Legislative members, management staff with CDC Exco, CDA members.
