Yaba's Future Bright: Hon. Bayo Adefuye's Development Agenda

            


Hon. Bayo Adefuye, the Chairman-Elect of Yaba LCDA, has outlined plans to transform Yaba into a thriving community, which he refers to as "Yaba Tuntun" or "New Yaba". He made this statement while receiving his certificate of return at the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) headquarters.

Adefuye, while elaborating on his achievements, said Infrastructure Development will top his agenda. This includes constructing beautiful roads with good aesthetics in mind and exploring Yaba's tourism potential, such as turning the Makoko Day festival into an international event.

His plans also include:

- Economic Empowerment: Providing skill acquisition training and equipment for the poorest of the poor, and offering quick non-interest loans to market men and women.

- Security: Enhancing security in Yaba through community policing and providing communication gadgets for security forces and youths.

- Education: Investing in education to ensure children have access to free education and working on vulnerable children to ensure they attend school.

- Healthcare: Providing well-equipped health facilities with free medical services.
- Agriculture: Investing in agriculture to ensure affordable food for all.

- Youth Development: Creating job opportunities for graduates, investing in sports, and supporting sport enthusiasts and practitioners.

- Tourism and Investment: Developing Yaba into a tourist destination with good infrastructure and ambiance to attract investors.

Adebayo Adefuye, a seasoned politician and businessman with 25 years of experience in the construction industry, has served as the Sole Administrator of Yaba LCDA. He garnered numerous awards and accolades, including being named the Best Local Government Administrator in Nigeria in 2017. His focus will be on empowering the vulnerable and poor.
