Honorable Alimi oluwaremilekun a house of assembly aspirant in ijebu east local government, under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has narrowly escaped an assassination attempt today.
The incident occurred while he was traveling in his car with his family member from Abeokuta to ijebu ode today November 12th 2022.
Honourable Oluwaremilekun believes that the assassination attempt may have been orchestrated by his political enemies in light of the upcoming election. He stated that he remains undeterred and committed to serving the people of his constituency.
The safety and security of all political aspirants, as well as their families, should be a top priority during this election season. Such acts of violence have no place in a democratic society and must be condemned in the strongest terms.
Honourable Alimi Oluwaremilekun is grateful for the protection of himself and his family members during the harrowing incident and remains resolute in his dedication to public service.
