Member Federal House of Representatives representing Eti Osa Federal Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro flagged off his reelection campaign on the 31st of January 2023 at the open car park opposite Landmark on Water Corporation Drive.
In attendance at the event were the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, his father, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, former deputy Governor, Femi Pedro, Senator Ganiu Solomon, APC chieftain, Tajudeen Olusi and a lot of other senior party members.
The event was also had in attendance a large crowd of Eti Osa constituents from across the different local governments that make up the constituency. The boisterous crowd were grateful to Obanikoro for his large heart and service to the community so far during his time in office and sang songs of praise in his honor all through the event
Member House of Representatives Obanikoro used the opportunity of the flag off to present an account of his stewardship which included bills presented, motions moved, roads facilitated, clinics, schools, solar street lights, empowerment and jobs for constituents.
In his statement, Obanikoro said “I urge Eti Osa constituents to elect me for continuity and for the experience that I am bringing to bear.
“I had the opportunity to represent them in the last three years and six months today and what I have done speaks for itself.”
Also at the event, the APC in Eti Osa received a group of former PDP members into their fold. The members cited imposition of candidates and a lack of internal democracy in Eti Osa PDP as their reason for leaving.
