As Nigeria join the rest of the world to celebrate this year's Palm Sunday, Nigerians have been advised to be humble and not be extravagant in all things inother to be victorious in life.
The African Church Bethlehem Cathedral Lagos Central Diocese celebrated this years palm Sunday in a grandstyle which all members of the church were seen dancing and singing praises to God.
The Church in their tradition every year always demonstrates how Jesus Christ rode on the donkey to Jerusalem with his disciples saying 'Hosannah! to the residents of the community.
The Children were not leftout of the celebration as they were seen on the parade with joy in their hearts to witness yet another Palm Sunday.
The Bishop.African Church Bethlehem Cathedral Lagos Central,Rt.Revd Ebenezer Ogunbiyi while speaking to dconnectnews said Palm Sunday is a day to appreciate God and to remember the movement of Jesus Christ that rode on a donkey to Jerusalem which usher in the passion week. He said today marks a victorious movement of our Lord Jesus Christ to fulfil salvation and perfect it according to what he came to do on heart.
He then advised Nigerians not to turn the Church of God to a business centre other than to use it to preach the gospel which the purpose is for people to come and receive the salvation.
The Deputy Lay President of the African Church Barrister Debo Oduguwa said todays celebration is symbolic in christendom that marks the grand entry of our Lord Jesus Christ into Jerusalem riding on a donkey which marks the beginning of the passion week. He advised Nigerians to believe in the preaching of our Lord Jesus Christ for this country to be better.
Palm Sunday is usually celebrated every year which usher in the passion week celebration and Easter Celebration.
