LASG WILL CONTINUE TO ENGAGE YOUTHS CONSTRUCTIVELY - SPECIAL ADVISER






The Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Solomon Bonu, has restated the government's commitment to engage youths constructively and offer them platforms that will enable them develop their potential to the best of their abilities. 

Bonu gave the assurance on Thursday while hosting the Executives of Arewa Youth Advocacy for Good Governance, who were in his office to present him an award to appreciate his commitment to the development of youths in the State.

His words: I thank you for the honour and promise to devote more efforts to implementing the administration's policies on Entertainment and Tourism, being the Fifth Pillar of the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda. This is to ensure that the teeming youths across Lagos State become productively engaged for self and the society at large".


 Speaking earlier, the President of the Association, Mr. Abdul Rahman, stated that the award was in recognition of the Special Adviser's commitment to youth engagement and development through consistent empowerment and rendering relentless humanitarian services to the masses. 

The Arewa Youth Advocacy for Good Governance is a non-governmental and non-partisan organisation, whose membership cuts across the 19 northern States including the FCT, Abuja.


 Among the programmes of the group are organisation of leadership training programmes for members, running enlightenment programmes to highlight the dangers of drug abuse and advocacy on gender-based violence.
