LEAD GENERATION, WE2GEDA FORM MERGER

As part of numerous efforts targeted at strengthening unity among the Nigerian youth and serving as vehicle for them to be allowed to serve the nation, Lead Generation Initiative (LGI) and  WE2GEDA have decided to form a long-lasting merger.

The information was contained in an official statement signed by the founder of LGI, Honourable Shina Peller, who doubles as a federal lawmaker representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency at the lower chamber of the National Assembly.

According to Hon. Peller, Lead Generation Initiative and WE2GEDA are both non-governmental organizations that share the same ideology, mentoring and training the next generation of leaders with the requisite leadership skills to move Nigeria forward.

The statement read in full:

"LEAD GENERATION INITIATIVE is an organization that is committed to providing opportunities for a new generation of leaders in nation-building.

"WE2GEDA on the other hand is on a mission to restore fairness, equity and competence to the nations democratic space.

"Both organizations, share the same ideology, mentoring and training the next generation of leaders with the requisite leadership skills to move Nigeria forward.

"After much deliberations and consultations, both organizations have decided to form a long-lasting merger. We understand the power of unity, strengthening forces and serving as a vehicle for Nigerian youths to be allowed to serve the nation.

"Over the years, we have reignited the zeal of young people, encouraging them to actively participate in politics. Through a similar modus operandi, we trained thousands of youths on effective leadership skills, strategic communication, active citizenship and nation-building.

"The merger offers Nigerian youths the platform to have a negotiating strength. It's one of our goals to see that thousands of qualified youths are recommended and supported in either elective or appointive positions across the country.

"This merger will further promote youth inclusiveness in nation-building, foster peace, unify structures and strategically place youths in a position of strength and greater importance.

"It's time now, more than ever, to set aside our differences and come together to decide the future of Nigeria in 2023.

"Together we can!"
