In a bid to reduce the rate of unemployment and helping youths to achieve their dreams, the versatile and visionary Chairman of Apapa Iganmu local council development area, Hon.Mrs Olufunmilayo Akande Muhammed, have put together a program to empower 156 youths with POS sales machines as part of activities to celebrate and commemorate her 100days in office.
The Chairman during her remark said the team of experts and professionals from a reliable financial institution Polaris Bank trained the beneficiaries on how to use point of sales POS machines effectively which forms have been filled ,documentation had been done and configuration follows subsequently.
She also said she is optimistic that the empowerment will change the lives and lead then to the road to success like Dangote, otedola whose success story is being celebrated today,which the beneficiaries too can be employers of Labour.
She Chairman stressed that she has invested in the beneficiaries which the beneficiaries should also be committed to invest in others, she said they should judiciously manage the small business so as to be big tomorrow.
The vice chairman Hon. Bamidele said the Chairman is a woman of her words trying to make her constituents become what they want to be in life. She said no Chairman has ever done what the Chairman is doing today in the history of Apapa iganmu Lcda.
The manager Polaris Bank Ilupeju Mr.Oluseye Onadipe said the Pos machine is a mini terminal Bank,which the beneficiaries will generate money from it to take care of their family.
Some of the beneficiaries appreciated the Chairman for a Job welldone and they assured the Chairman of making the business grow.
The Chairman then presented Pos machines ,umbrella,chairs and table and a token of 30,000 recharged in the machine.
