Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Executive Chairman, Mr David Olusegun Odunmbaku, on Friday distributed over 200 bags of rice and cash gifts to his constituents to celebrate Christmas. Odunmbaku made the distribution at his constituency office, located at Budland Street, Akiode on Friday.
The rice were distributed across six political wards in Ojodu, apex political leaders, youths and widows, the council of Imaams, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Ojodu chapter among others.
Meanwhile, the council boss shared his message of peace and love on Christmas Day, saying “the celebration of the Savior's birth should be symbolic with the show of love, charity and unconditional giving.
"We appreciate Almighty God for giving us the gift of His Son for all humanity. As we celebrate, we earnestly pray that the joy of the Lord and the reason for the Season shall be established in our lives."

Odunmbaku wrote as Christians all over the world celebrated the birth of Christ on Christmas Day.
While wishing Christians Merry Christmas on the day, he urged them to celebrate with caution amid surge in Coronavirus pandemic infections and be security conscious. "Likewise, I enjoin you to be security-conscious and observe all safety precautions, particularly COVID-19 guidelines while we celebrate."
