2022 Budget: Hon. Akande Holds Consultative Forum Meeting

Hon. Funmilayo Akande Muhammed, Apapa-Iganmu Local Council Development Area Executive Chairman, has engaged residents of the council area in a stakeholder meeting to foster cordial relationship between her government and her constituents.

The meeting held at the council secretariat on Tuesday afforded the council chairman the opportunity to interact with property owners and residents on the year 2022 Budget appropriation.

The stakeholder meeting which is yearly program with the Theme 'Achieving Better Social Economic Growth Through Community Dialogue had in attendance Royal Fathers, Clerics,Market women,Political Leaders, Artisans,Youths,Cdc's and some residents of Apapa Iganmu.


The Chairman in her remarks said to maximize the 2022 Budget due to Covid 19 pandemic,she has decided to employ strategies;
To allow for fiscal discipling of available resources 
Prompt payment of rates to the coffers of the local government 
To bring up committee who can monitor and give adequate feedback on projects and to be strictly focusing on the desired policy of the government.


She said that the wish of her people will be taken back to the Budget retreat,and planning to improve more on Roads,Health,Goodmayes,Street Lights,education and all areas according to the budget at hand.

The head of Budget Mrs Modupe Adekola while speaking to the residents of the community encouraged them to come out to identify the areas they want the Chairman to touch so as to implement it in the 2022 appropriation bill.

Some of the Stakeholders present also spoke on what they want from the chairman,which the chairman assured them of her approval on the one's she is capable of doing.


The Chairman Hon Fumilayo Akande Muhammed commended the efforts of all constituents who always feel duty bound to attend their various meetings and participate in governance by contributing their quota through bringing to their notice and attention.
