Lagos Ikoyi Lions Club carried out vision activity in commemoration of World Sight Day on Thursday 14th, October 2021, at Ikoyi Obalende Local Council Development Area (LCDA) 15 cardinal Olubunmi okogie Street, Obalende, Lagos. According to the Chairperson Marketing and Communication of the Club, Lion TPL Soledotun Abdulkarim-Yusuf, over One Hundred and twenty (120) people had their EYES SCREENED and One Hundred reading glasses of various measurements were given to those recommended by the Optometrists.
We had in attendance Eighteen Lions including the President, Lion Abdulkarim Yusuf, the Chairperson Sight Communication, Lion Fatai Balogun, the Secretary Lion Abiodun Shobande, the 1st Vice President Lion Fatai Raji Taiwo, the 2nd VP Lion Grace Nene Osunwa and other Members of the Club. Also in attendance were Two Charter Lions members making a total of Twenty Lions.
This Activity in line with the five focus areas of Lions Club International which are Vision, Environment, Diabetes, Peadiatric Cancer and Feeding the Hungry.
