As Nigerians join the rest of the World to celebrate International Literacy Day,  the Chairperson Zone IA, Lions  District 404A1, Lion TPL Soledotun Abdulkarim-Yusuf who is also the Chairperson Marketing and Communication of Lagos Ikoyi Lions Club emphasized  the importance of International Literacy Day and the need for the Home  to have a Library.
Lagos Ikoyi Lions  Club along with other Clubs in Zone 1A celebrated the September activity in commemoration of International Literacy Day with a visit to the Motherless Babies Home at 1, ,Kenneth Agbakuru Street Off Admiralty Way,Lekki Phase 1 Lagos.
The President of  Lagos Ikoyi Lions  Club, Lion Abdulkarim  Yusuf along  with other Lion  Presidents in Zone 1A thereafter presented (400) Customized Lions Clubs  Big Notes along with many educational textbooks, story books, novels and other writing material to the Motherless Babies Home. The Chief Nurse of the Home received the Materials on behalf of the Matron, Mrs Adebambo who was unavoidably absent.
Lion Dame Rebecca Aikhomu, a Board Director of the Home along with Dr Lion Ngozi Nwosu thanked the  Zone Chairperson, the Club Presidents and great Lions of the four member Clubs under Zone 1A for their unwavering commitment and support for Lion course .
