As the All Progressives Congress (Apc) local government primary elections gathers momentum, the conference 57 Chairman Hon Mrs Omolola Essien openly declared and launched her second term campaign bid at the local government secretariat in Lagos.
The campaign declaration and launching with the theme 'Together We Can Make Lagos Mainland Greater' has in attendance political leaders,religious leaders,Royal fathers, different ethnic groups,market leaders,and the deaf association in the local government.
Mrs Omolola Essien in her acceptance speech said she affirmed her Committment to serve the great people of lagos Mainland Local Government for the second term inorder for her finish the good works she has started. She also assured her constituents that her second term in office,she will continue the works she has started in the area of peace and security, social welfare, works and infrastructure, healthcare services,education, environment, poverty alleviation and many more.
The chairman Yaba local council development area Hon. Dr. Kayode Omiyale who was also present said one good turn deserves another,that Mrs Omolola Essien's tenure in office is very impressive that has impacted so much on all the sectors.
He further said as a colleague he is in support of the reelection of Mrs Omolola Essien, he said the local government and the lcda are working together on the development of Mainland, and the blue print of their great party All Progressives Congress (Apc).
Some of the political leaders of Mainland and stakeholders while given their goodwill messages applauded Hon Mrs Omolola Essien for her tremendous achievements during her 1st term in office, they all prayed for the chairman that her second term in office will be better than her first term.
The Council manager Mr Olusegun Ajaguna also commented on the achievements of the Chairman saying Hon Mrs Omolola Essien is a Mother that listens,and he is going to score her 98%. He then appealed to her constituents to come out enmass to vote for her during the primaries on the 29th of May 2021.
The Youth Leader Hon.Prince Ahmed Olanrewaju said Mrs Omolola Essien reelection bid is a welcome development, that the good people of Lagos Mainland wants her back in office.
He further said as a colleague he is in support of the reelection of Mrs Omolola Essien, he said the local government and the lcda are working together on the development of Mainland, and the blue print of their great party All Progressives Congress (Apc).
