Can you recall the issue of the former CJN Justice Walter Onnoghen who was forced to retire because he failed to disclose the full extent of his financial assets ? Let me also remind you of how former Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun was forced to resign because she forged her NYSC certificate. These people committed the crimes in their past but they were forced to face the consequences when discovered.
They were not forgiven, rather , they were butted out of office and replaced with the speed of light.
Today, the atrocities of Isa Patanmi, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy is out on the open. This is a man that was in support of terrorists that claimed lives of innocent people. This makes him a terrorist as well.
And the Presidency has the audacity and the effontry to ask Nigerians to forgive him. It is a disgrace and this cannot be allowed to slide. The Presidency is also in support of a terrorist and is asking it's citizens to accept him with open arms and turn a blind eye to his past activities.
Did the same Presidency turn a blind eye to the mistakes of Justice Walter Onnoghen, Kemi Adeosun amongst others? Is the crime of Isa Patanmi lesser than the aforementioned people?
Omoluabi Center for Development Initiative calls for the resignation of Isa Patanmi. He should not be dealt with differently.
Appropriate measures should be rolled out accordingly...no preferencial treatment.
Failure to do this indicates that the Presidency is in support of terrorism and terrorists, hence, we are no longer safe in our country. We can go to bed one night and be murdered in our sleep by terrorists because the Presidency has sold us out. The sad reality is that it has started happening in the nation.
Isa Patanmi must go!!!
