Wonders indeed shall never cease as the Leader of Ikosi-isheri LCDA legislative arm, Hon. Usman Akanni Ajibola plays to the gallery in an attempt to convey legislative session.
He called for a plenary session, of which only three out of seven councilors seated for the session instead of four, negating the two-third statutory provisions for law-makers to form a quorum. Those in attendance were
The leader of the house
Hon Usman Akanni
Hon Sade Akinpelu and Hon Moruf Adeleye.
The other four members absent were
Hon Salami Yinusa
Majority leader of the house
Hon Biliameen Taliatu
Hon Adebola Olalekan
Hon Olanrewaju Taiwo.
The four mentioned members above have accused the leader of corrupt practices and arrogance during plenary which calls for concern.
In his show of shame at the Council Secretariat, On Tuesday, March 16th, the leader put up a rancorous attitude as he led the two other members with him into the council chamber for legislative proceedings.
The activities of Hon. Usman Akanni Ajibola lately has called for serious concern has he has gradually been loosing grip over the legislative arm of the council.
It was dumbfounding as the House Leader entered the Council Secretariat at about 11am yesterday, March 16th, and kept ranting in the public when no one is in quarrel with him.
Some of the words he was caught to be saying were "Ah, they will know here. I will show them. I will let them know that I am the one in charge. Let them come out with guys to beat me with canes. I am ready to face any of them!"...and the likes.
Its indeed imperative for Ikosi-isheri LCDA councillors to put their house in order and see to the dishonorable acts of the Council's Leader.
