… Achieves Level Four Safe Care Health Standard
The Medical Director, Alimosho General Hospital (ALGH), Igando, Dr. Madewa Adebajo, has disclosed that the facility scored a high mark of 78 out of 100, which is the highest mark obtained among the 28 facilities assessed in the State last year, thereby earning the hospital a Safe Care Level Four standard.
Dr. Adebajo pointed out that the achievement was the result of November 23, 2020, State Ministry of Health Safe Care assessment of the hospital during the facility's Health Management Committee (HMC) meeting held at the ALGH, stressing that the new Level Four status is only a level away from Level Five, which is the highest level obtainable.
In his words: “The new Alimosho General Hospital, Igando, rating was as a result of Safe Care Health Standard team fourth assessment of the hospital in November 2021. The last assessment was done in 2017 when the hospital scored 58 marks to earn a Safe Care Level Three grade. Over the years there has been a tremendous improvement with enhanced service delivery by our dedicated staff in different service areas”.
He, therefore, express his appreciation to all management and members of staff for their doggedness and commitment to maintaining quality standard of service delivery and ensuring that the hospital remains among the best in the State.
Reiterating that the recent successes can be attributed to the positive passion exhibited by all members of staff to duties, the Medical Director urged them to be more committed to ensuring continuous quality service delivery as success means more hard work.
Alimosho General Hospital (ALGH), Igando, is located in Alimosho Local Government Area (LGA) of Lagos State and was established in February, 2006. The Hospital currently managed by Dr. Madewa Adebajo, a renowned Pathologist, provides 24 hours in-patient and out-patient services and care for an average of 50,000 patients monthly.
