PSSDC URGES PUBLIC SERVANTS TO RE-DEDICATE THEMSELVES TO SERVICE

The Director-General, Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC) Magodo, Dr. Senukon Olufunmi Ajose-Harrison, has called on public servants in Lagos State to re-dedicate themselves to service by demonstrating a commitment to effective performance while displaying a high level of professionalism in any given task.

Ajose-Harrison made the call on Wednesday during the annual thanksgiving service of the Centre held virtually to commemorate the beginning of Y2021 activities, adding that achievement of the audacious goals of the present administration must be delivered by a corps of seasoned public servants.

Admonishing the Centre's staff, he stated that as Public Servants, they must continue to keep the interests of the service in the front burners, saying "we must resolve to further live the vision, mission and core values of the State as clearly encapsulated in the acronym T.H.E.M.E.S".

The Director-General stressed the need for workers to be committed to service excellence and professionalism and be ready to work beyond the natural expectation, asserting that it is the only way Public Servants would have contributed to the developmental efforts of the State Government.

He averred that the corporate watchword for the Centre's activities in Year 2021 are Quality, Professionalism and Pragmatism, and charged staff to continue to synergise by working as a team to ensure that the Centre's capacity building mandate is achieved.

While maintaining that PSSDC will continue to explore all avenues to ensure the provision of a workplace culture that enables staff to unleash their potential, Ajose-Harrison declared that, as a foremost training institution in Lagos, the Centre must continue to deliver quality capacity building programmes that support all aspirations of the State Government.
