The Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalism (NGIJ) Lagos Chapter heartily congratulates two of Nigeria's outstanding journalists and senior media personalities as they celebrate their birthdays, today, November 8.
The National President of the Guild Mr Ayoyemi Mojoyinola noted that Mr Akosile who presently serves as the Chief Press Secretary to the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Mr Olatunji Oke, the Editor-in-Chief and publisher of the widely read retrospective magazine "Nigeria Indicator" are trailblazers and exemplary icons who have both distinguished themselves in the revered journalistic profession.
The Guild added that, "Both Akosile and Oke are indeed blessings to the noble media profession and have contributed immensely, added colour to and raised the bar of the practice. As such, they both deserve to be celebrated for being true and loyal to the letter and spirit of the cause.
Mr Akosile who rose through the ranks in broadcast journalism and Mr Oke who has practised print journalism for many years have not only upheld the tenets of media practices but are also working hard daily in mentoring and nurturing other champions as well as working tirelessly to keep a good shine on the pen profession.
The Guild noted that the two celebrants have contributed in no small way to the upliftment of the practice across the spectrum.
Mr President and the entire members of NGIJ while urging the celebrants not to relent also wish them a beautiful celebration today.
