INEC LAGOS TO DISPLAY FORM EC9 FOR PRESIDENTIAL, SENATE AND HOUSE OF REPS CANDIDATES FROM AUGUST 1

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Lagos State, hereby notifies registered political parties, nominated candidates, stakeholders, and the general public that the display of Form EC9 Affidavit in Support of Personal Particulars for candidates sponsored by political parties for the Presidential, Senatorial, and House of Representatives Elections will commence on Saturday, 1st August 2026.

In accordance with Section 29 of the Electoral Act, 2022, the completed Forms EC9 containing candidates’ personal particulars, academic credentials, and sworn affidavits will be displayed for public inspection at the INEC Lagos State Office, Sabo-Yaba, and at the respective Local Government Area Offices within the affected constituencies.

Members of the public are encouraged to visit the designated offices to inspect the documents.  

Any person who has credible evidence that a candidate submitted false information or forged documents may seek legal redress as provided by the Electoral Act.

The Commission reaffirms its commitment to transparency, accountability, and the conduct of free, fair, and credible elections.
