The Coordinator of the City Boy Movement in Lagos Mainland Local Government, Dr. Basiru Bisoye Emilagba, has called on residents to mobilize massively for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and all All Progressives Congress, APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Emilagba made the call at the general meeting of the City Boy Movement for youths and stakeholders held at UNA Primary School, Oyingbo.
Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Emilagba, who is also the APC Youth Ambassador for Lagos Mainland, said the essence of the gathering was to galvanize support for President Tinubu, Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat for Governor of Lagos State, Senator Wasiu Eshinlokun for Lagos Central Senatorial District, Mr. K.K Omolaja for House of Representatives, and all APC House of Assembly candidates.
“The plan is continuous. Immediately after the 2027 elections, we will also begin mobilization for the local government elections and for all APC candidates at every level,” he said.
He disclosed that the movement has already commenced voter mobilization and recruitment of new members with Permanent Voter Cards into the party.
He urged all residents of Lagos Mainland to be good ambassadors of the APC, participate actively in politics, and turn out en masse to vote for all candidates of the party.
Also speaking, the Vice Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Hon. Wale Mohmoh, said the City Boy Movement is a youth-oriented group under the APC formed to drive electioneering, educate the public on the achievements of the party, and showcase both incumbent and incoming candidates who mean well for the community.
“The APC is always prepared. We have done a lot of groundwork and we have people on ground to coordinate members on the importance of collecting their Permanent Voter Cards,” he said.
Hon. Mohmoh added that the party is counselling community members that President Tinubu is the right choice for another term because of his commitment to Nigeria and to all state governors.
He urged residents of Lagos Mainland to come out massively on election day, saying, “We know where we are going. When you vote for the APC, you multiply your vote and secure the future of Lagos Mainland.”
The meeting was attended by youths, community stakeholders, and party leaders from across Lagos Mainland.
