Empire Fitness Centre, organisers of the popular football league in the Akute area of Ogun State, recently hosted an award ceremony to honour teams and individuals who distinguished themselves during the competition.
The league, which lasted for 11 weeks, featured several teams competing passionately to emerge as champions. At the end of the tournament, Royal Football Team emerged winners of the league after finishing with the highest points.
The team also recorded more achievements as one of their players was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament, while their coach clinched the Best Coach award.
Other outstanding players and teams were equally recognised for their impressive performances,Empire FC came second while Albayaani FC clinched the third position . Match officials who displayed professionalism and dedication during the league were also honoured with awards.
In appreciation of their unwavering support, the organisers, Empire Fitness Centre, also recognised some loyal spectators who contributed to the success of the tournament in one way or another.
The colourful event, held yesterday at Kunik Event Centre in Akute, became the talk of the town as football lovers, supporters, and community members gathered to celebrate the successful completion of the league.
Speaking at the close of the event event, the organiser of the league /football competition, Wellington Ojobo thanked all participating teams for their sportsmanship, commitment, and dedication throughout the tournament.
