The organizers of the Great African Heroes & Mentors Awards (GAHMA) have officially announced the opening of nominations and public voting for the 2026 Great African Heroes & Mentors Awards, a prestigious continental recognition platform celebrating visionary African leaders, innovators, and mentors whose contributions have significantly impacted Africa’s development.
The 2026 edition, scheduled to hold on August 25th, 2026 at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, marks a special commemorative edition celebrating Africa’s visionary leaders and mentors from 2000 to 2025.
The Awards will recognize distinguished individuals, institutions, and organizations whose leadership, mentorship, and innovation have contributed significantly to Africa’s transformation across sectors including business, governance, education, media, youth development, technology, and social impact.
