As part of its efforts to drive financial literacy and youth
empowerment, 9 Payment Service Bank (9PSB), Nigeria’s first payment service
bank, recently conducted a financial literacy training session at the Liberty
Career Academy (LCA) Summer Camp, engaging young minds with practical knowledge
and essential life skills to confidently manage their finances and build a
foundation for long-term financial success.
9PSB designed the training session
to help young people make informed financial decisions necessary for their
growth, empower them to build long-term financial security, and contribute to
broader economic growth.
The training session focused on
helping participants understand the importance of money management, regular
saving, goal setting, investing, and the need to spend wisely.
During the engaging session,
participants learned that being financially literate can significantly improve
their livelihoods, help them avoid scams and poor financial choices, and better
prepare them for life after school.
Speaking at the event, Alvin
Afadama, PR Specialist at 9PSB who facilitated the session said “Financial
literacy is a vital life skill, and the earlier young people learn it, the
better equipped they are to make smart decisions that will impact their future.
At 9PSB, we believe that empowering the next generation with this knowledge is
key to building a more financially inclusive and economically resilient
Nigeria.”
9PSB noted that the financial
literacy session at the LCA Summer Camp represents another important step in
the bank’s broader mission to drive financial inclusion and education across
Nigeria, particularly among underserved and younger populations.
9PSB is dedicated to advancing
financial literacy nationwide, empowering young Nigerians to make smart
financial decisions and build a stronger, more inclusive economy.
