Anambra State Executive Council Approves New Developmental Projects

The Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) at its 12th meeting of the Anambra State held at the new government house called the Light House, Awka, approved some contracts, including the construction and modelling of the State Rehabilitation Centre at Nibo, Awka, the state's capital.

In a statement issued by the State's Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, he affirmed that the contracts also include the relocation and expansion of the Solution Hub & Park at Aroma Junction, Awka; the construction of an increte walkway and flooring, installation of kerbs, and aesthetic enhancement of the Ekwulobia Flyover; and the additional works and fluctuations on the construction of a six-hall high court building complex.

Other projects approved were the additional works and fluctuations on the construction of 17-unit dwellings (duplexes) and ancillary facilities at the new Commissioners' Quarters, Awka, and the building of additional perimeter fencing, stormwater drainage culverts, and chain-like fences at the Safari Park, Agulu Lake.

ANSEC also approved a foremost Anambra State-born music star, Chinedu Okoli, popularly known as Flavour, to lead other musicians such as Umu-Obiligbo to the opening of the first-rate Solution Fu City on Saturday, 28th of June, 2025.

The sprawling Solution Fun City, the largest in Africa, is part of Governor Soludo's transformation drive in Anambra, a place where people can play, enjoy, and relax.

The Council further reflected on the proposed Anambra Rebirth Programme and determined that its blueprint should address a number of important issues to achieve its main objectives.

Mefor added that the rebirth framework would include the restoration of the Igbo Apprenticeship system (Igba Boi), the return to hard work and integrity, the criminalisation of obscenities, especially the flaunting of money, and warped ideologies of wealth without work.
