The children of the late Madam Margaret Igbekeleoluwa Iyabo Ogunbowale nee Ogunrin have planned to give their mother a memorable and befitting burial.
There will be a burial service on 26th of April in Omu Eleni Town Hall at 10 am, while interment follows immediately at her residence at the same address.
Entertainment of guests will hold at St. Paul's Anglican Primary School Field, Omu-Ijebu,Ogun State.
The children of Mama went extra mile to give her a state of the art burial by contracting highly respected events planners like Sloane Events, Top Chef, Basbash Caterings while small chops will be supplied by Vins Small Chops.
The event will be handled by Lanko Omoba Dubai; music will be supplied by Trinity Band while adequate security will be guaranteed by OYB securities.
A top rated professional company,Shensy Funeral Homes will be the Pall Bearers.
The sprawling towns of Omu-Ijebu and Irete town, both in Ogun State will host distinguished personalities and dignitaries when the late Mama Margaret Igbekeleoluwa Iyabo Ogun will be interred.
Mama lived an enviable life that inspired many young women of her day. The late mama hailed from the family of Prince James Matiluko Ogunrin, a very successful produce merchant and politician and Olori Dorcas Omoyeni Oduntan from Irete-ijebu. (Aka MAMA ONIGALURA), a popular trader in the sale of dying chemicals used in mat production.
Late Mama, Margaret Igbekeleoluwa Iyabo is the sixth of twelve children in the Ogunrin Royal Family, which is a descendants of Late Olomu of Omu-Ijebu, HRM Kabiyesi Adegboyega Ogunrin (Adekiyeri II) was her elder brother.
She had her primary education at Saint Paul Primary School, Omu-Ijebu, she attended Anglican Girls Grammar School, Ijebu-ode (AGGS), Ogun State.
She got married to her high school lover, Late Snr Evangelist Adewale Elijah Ogun of the Ramuja Royal Family, ALA-IJEBU, of which they were both blessed with eight children.
On moving to Lagos after her secondary school, she worked at Barclay's Bank, now known as Union Bank, for sometime.
In her quest for a greater height and success, she was trained as a pharmacy technician. This made her the FIRST FEMALE PHARMACY TECHNICIAN in Nigeria in October 1959. A profession she pursued to the pinnacle of her career. She graduated from the prestigious Yaba College of Science and Technology, Yaba, Lagos.
Her work as a pharmacist for thirty-three years took her round a lot of hospitals in Lagos State, saving lives and healing the sick.
Her various places of works includes, Isolo Health Center, Island Maternity Hospital, Randle Health Center, Ketu Health Centre and Epe General hospital, where she retired meritoriously as a CHIEF PHARMACY TECHNOLOGIST on Sept.1992 after 33 yrs in service.
Madam Margaret Igbekeleoluwa Iyabo Ogun learned biblical truth from the Jehovah’s Witnesses that came to her door, and returned several times and a Bible study was eventually started. She agreed with what she was learning and made a lot of turn around and dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized on May, 1981.

She remained a devoted member and served faithfully both in her journey to Dallas, United States of America (USA) and in Nigeria and always did her best in service even as her health declined.
Mama moved to the United States of America in 1994 after her retirement to spend time with her children and grandchildren for many years.
After her sojourn in the US, she came back home and was never tired of working. She diversified into different businesses like Logging and Forestry, Cement Sale, Farming, Public Transportation etc.
Madam M.I. Ogun was blessed with eight children, twenty grand children and seven great grand children in her lifetime.
She is survived by the following children: Dr. Prince Adewale Ogunbowale, Mrs Bolanle Adeboyejo, Mrs Olufunke Emego,and Prince Adeleke Ogunbowale
Her other deceased children are Oluwatosin, Adedoyin, Adebayo, and Oluwaseun (may they all continue to rest in perfect peace).
Mama Nurse, as she was fondly called, was a great mum, cheerful, kind and was a source of inspiration to many who crossed her path. She was a disciplinarian to her kids, hard-working, resourceful, loving, and compassionate woman. Above all,
She was a praying mother and grand mum.
She loved her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
Till her death, she used to pray for the kids weekly and advise them on life's ethics and policies.
Mama will be remembered for a lot of things, including her sense of humor with the students in the neighborhood and family members, and this does not exclude her
unprecedented love for family, both paternal, maternal, far and near.
Until her death, as the oldest member of those families, she still reached out to everyone looking after their welfare and helping in any little way she could. This speaks volume for her natural leadership prowess.
Margaret Igbekeloluwa Ogun lived a fulfilled life and accomplished all goals set to the admiration of those close to her. Against all odds, She was a fighter and a conqueror. She was a winner in the battle of life. She passed on after a brief illness.
May her soul rest in peace, and may Jehovah grants her eternal resurrection on the last day.
