Methodist Arch Bishop of Lagos,His Grace Most Revd. Isaac Olawuyi Celebrates Son's Wedding in a GrandStyle




It was a day of joy for the families of Olawuyi and Kareem as their children Zainab Omotayo Kareem and Samuel Aduragbemi Olawuyi came together in holy matrimony at the Methodist Cathedral of Peace and Excellence, Opebi In Lagos as family friends and well wishers gathered to celebrate with them.


Methodist Arch Bishop of Lagos, his Grace,Most  Revd. Dr. Isaac Ayo Olawuyi lead family members to the holy matrimony in the presence of all clergymen.

Dignitaries from all works of life gathered to witness the wonderful, including the Governor of Lagos State Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu represented by the Special Adviser on Religion matters, Very .Revd Bukola Adeleke,Speaker,Lagos State House of Assembly represented by Hon. Kehinde Joseph, Prelate Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence Oliver Aba,Prelate Emeritus,His Eminence Sunday Ola Makinde,immediate past Prelate Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence Chukwuemeka Kanu Uche,Chairman of the Occasion,Sir. Rev and Lady Ademola Aladekomo and Archbishops and Bishops from all over Nigeria.


The Church Service witnessed affirmation by the families,marriage vows,exchange of wedding rings,signing of marriage registry and proclamation of marriage by the ministers of God.

In his sermon the former secretary of conference, and former Archbishop of Ibadan,Most Rev. Michael Kehinde Stephen titled Covenant of Marriage described Covenant as an agreement between two parties as they just entered as it is meant to become a life long achievement.  He said Prayer is more than multifunctional as he charged them to ask God to help them to understand the commitment they made today. He then explianed what God expected from them which include companionship, Creation and Continuity.

The Celebration then moved to All Season Plaza Agindigbi where guests were served with delicious delicacies and good music by the Olaolu Gbenjo Band.


Chairman of the Occasion Sir. Rev. Ademola Aladekomo advised the couples to always give gratitude, thanksgiving and give to charity.

The Groom's parent Most. Revd. Dr. Ayo Olawuyi and wife Mrs. Funmi Olawuyi shared their joy that as his name implies which has a lot of meaning as he came at a trying time and they wished the couple a happy married life,love each other,understand each other and trust each other and know they will succeed. 


The parent of the Bride Mr. Waheed and Mrs Fatimah Kareem also shared their joy that they give thanks to God because she have been looking onto this day and give God all the glory.


Some of the dignitaries present advised the couple to always tolerate themselves and forgive eachother always.

The couples were not left behind of the joy of the day as they were very happy seeing people celebrating with them

Highpoint of the event was the cutting of the cake and dance to appreciate God for a beautiful Wedding. Onbehalf of Focustv we are wishing Mr. And Mrs. Aduragbemi Olawuyi a happy married life.
