Lion Temisanren Opadele Emerges as the 19th President Of Ikeja Pearl Lions Club District 404B2,Nigeria






Ikeja Pearl Lions Club witnessed the investiture ceremony of the 19th President of the Club, Lion. Temisanren Opadele on Sunday 7th April 2024 in Lagos.


The event had in attendance District Governor Prof. Emmanuel Dayo Fagbohun, PMFJ, NLCF, FDI and his cabinet members, The Second Vice District Governor Lion Kemi Eribake, some senior Ikeja Pearl Club members, Lion Patience Erhahon, 
Lion Nkoli Ogunnubi-Johnson. Keynote Speaker Lion Olukayode Ojo, Lion club members, Captain of industries and Business mogul.





At the event, Club Officers were installed, new members were inducted and there was a Fundraiser.


The Chairman of the occasion, Mrs. Adetutu Awobiye in her goodwill message advised the President to continue what the last president has been doing and try to do better in their community service, and also raise funds so that she will do more of community services. 

The District Governor Lions Club District 404 B2,Lion Prof. Emmanuel Fagbohun described Lion Temisanren as a woman that has been in the club for a while and has undergone several trainings which has equipped her today because she knows the key areas of the Lions Club international to pick her activities which at the end of the year she is going to be one of the best. 

Prof.Fagbohun encouraged the President to key into Lions core areas like diabetes, vision, childhood cancer, environment which are the key areas of Lions Club and carry all members along with the spirit of oneness.


The newly Inducted President, Lion Temisaren Opadele in her acceptance speech said the goal of every member once they become a Lion is to grow in hierarchy and she feels elated. She said, Funding has a major role to play in the activities of Lions Club, that going forward she intends to organize more fundraisers in order to reach out to more of the less privileged in the society.


She then said presently the club has an adopted public primary school in Ikeja which the club has been supporting in terms of infrastructural development and academic areas. Lion Temisanren Opadele went further that this Lions Serve Year, the club intends to donate ICT equipment e.g, Laptop, printers, toners etc to the school. The club also in the tradition of Lions Club International engages in monthly activities to give back to the society and less privilege through programs like; Hunger relief, Women and Youth empowerment and skill acquisition training and wirkshops, organizing free diabetics screening and free Eye screening and provision of eye glasses and surgery.








Highpoint of the event was the formal installation of the Club President, installation of Club officers and induction new members.
