45 Beneficiary Emerges At STANBIC IBTC Holdings ‘Together For A Limb Walk’

In Fulfilling its promises as regard its Corporate Social Responsibility, the management of Stanbic IBTC Holdings, organised a walk for the people living with limb disorder with the theme "Stanbic IBTC Together 4A Limb Walk".

The walk which started at Stanbic IBTC Head  office at Walter Carrington to Law School and back to Law School, was lead by the Chief Executive of the bank Dr. Demola Sogunle,the wife of the Governor of Lagos State Dr. Mrs Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu,the German Embassy Consular General,top members of the bank and the staff.



The Chief Executive Stanbic IBTC Dr. Demola Sogunle in his opening remark said today marks 9th annual together for a limb edition,ever since the program has started it has been very important and key aspect of the bank.

He said his word today is a word for hope,a promising future and believe that they have a fulfilling life and a happy one,which they have continous support including limb replacement until the beneficiary reach the age of 18. 

He went further that the together for a limb initiative so far has transformed the life's of 100 children and this year 45 limb beneficiary which forms the largest intake that ever had in history. 


"Each child will receive a Stanbic IBTC  education fund of 1.5million Naira empowerment with access to quality education " he said.

The wife of the Governor of Lagos State Mrs. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu represented by Mrs. Oyindamola Ogunsanwo applauded the effort and commitment of Stanbic IBTC initiating and  this laudable project for supporting this special children who have experienced limb loss and support through the educational Trust Fund.

She said the project will go a longway for  children that benefitted from this program and  will do something for their family. The initiative is targeting on one of the 3pillars of the theme's agenda in providing educational support for young children and the valnuarable children in the society. She then call on other corporate organisation to take a que from the initiative that will impact life's for the vulnerable people in the society.


The founder of IfeanHealth, Ejike Anih said what Stanbic IBTC has done today is a milestone when 100 children from 36 states including Fct and 45 children having their limbs replaced now have a life and go back to school and Stanbic IBTC has been the only bank sponsoring this laudable project. 


The highpoint of the event was the presentation of cheques to beneficiaries of the program.
