The jury has been eliminated and Nigerians had a chance to evict the housemate of their choice this week.
We saw Frood go home to his family and Tolani Baj no doubt had a lot of questions from her fans on her behaviour in the house. The formal resident “lover girl” got her fans riled up after she continually picked fights with Ilebaye because of Neo even after he claims he’s not looking for anything serious in the house. We’ll leave her to the questions but the drama still continues in Big Brother’s house.
IS THE HOH REALLY THE HOH?
This week Monday's task had us on a chokehold as the final rounds saw Cross and Doyin going head to head on who will become the head of house. Doyin pulled all stops to show that she wanted it more than he did as she played the therapist on Cross in an attempt to lobby him to give up and intentionally lose the game. At the end she was crowned head of house, a position which also comes with immunity from the eviction.
She went on to say that she used emotional blackmail on him by offering him two BFF tickets which played on the fact that he could be in the HOH lounge with the woman he wants.
So far the housemates have proven that they do not totally accept Doyin as the head of house for her style of leadership and lack of individuality in making decisions, this makes us think back to when she called herself the principality that everyone in the house prays against. She may have been unto something but we stay glued to the screens to confirm or disregard this.
MY BFF IS NOT REALLY MY BFF
This tragic love story played out in Biggie's house after the HOH games as Doyin awarded the BFF tickets to Cross and Kim Oprah as agreed and eventually awarded the last BFF ticket to Mercy on the grounds of being the only worthy competitor during the games. Ilebaye was no doubt stunned and unable to grasp why she was not given the ticket as she considers herself Doyin’s one true friend in the house even though they were not on speaking terms at the time. She broke down in tears no doubt feeling like she was not her BFF’s BFF.
THE GENERAL v THE QUEEN OF LOW BLOWS
Word in Biggie's house and perhaps Tobi Bakre’s house is that he's a man that Pere will never be. Ceec refused to carry out the task assigned to her and the housemates expressed their displeasure at her refusal. Pere took it upon himself to do the chore and was met with a myriad of low blows from CeeC questioning his manliness and bravery. Ceec and Pere go off at each other calling each other names and Pere claims that “I am not Tobi” alluding to the fact that he would not easily be controlled as she thought and she went on to reply saying “he can never be the man that Tobi was”. This drama remains to be unpacked as tension sparks are high.
A CHEERTASTIC SCANDAL
Biggie's cheerleaders are the opposite of cheerful as they come close to exchanging blows during their preparation for the task ahead. CeeC walks out on the girls dance rehearsal after saying “she doesn't feel the energy”. She asked that Lucy take over her spot in the team. Angel and Mercy tried to convince her to stay and perform just for the fact that it would take Lucy a long time to learn the routine. CeeC refuses and proceeds to pick a fight with Angel who did not hold back on speaking her mind.
CAN JEALOUSY REVIVE THE IKE AND MERCY LOVE STORY?
Big Brother's house has the uncanny habit of creating unlikely relationships out of nowhere, even ships that have crashed seem to be on the mend. Lambo and Ike already called it quits once but it seems like the embers of the old flames still burn hot as we see Ike and Mercy have “the talk” in the dressing room where Mercy asks him to stop being a doormat to everyone and especially to a particular lady who” treats him like shit”, to which he replied “they all treat me like shit, I told you I still care about you but you keep doing nonsense everytime”. Then she proceeds to call Whitemoney her baby while Ike looks on possibly plotting a comeback with a particular CeeC that just happens to always match his outfits.
This week has seen it all, or maybe not. The housemates know how to pull an ace when it seems like the coast is clear and all is calm so you can be rest assured they will deliver your daily dose of entertainment and more.
