Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) has condoled the family and the entire Muslim Community over the passing away of Dr Ahmad Ibrahim Bamba.
Dr Ahmad was announced dead this morning after a very brief illness in Kano.
A versatile Islamic Scholar with authority in HADITH has been a University don for many decades until he retired to face the teaching of Islamic Scholars from across the world.
He was among the earliest graduands of the Islamic University of Madina where he bagged a PhD in Ilamic Studies. He has taught at the. Bayero University, Kano for decades and later, continued to teach from his home until he died.
A highly respected Scholar who earned his respect from being a true teacher devoid of controversy, Dr Ahmad had students from across the entire Muslin World.
Governor Matawalle said that the Muslim World has indeed, lost a rare gem, a deeply knowledgeable tutor of Islam and a very reserved personality who knows nothing other than being a guide to mankind.
"We shall all miss his authoritative and informative teachings which have been adjudged as excellent and progressive.", Dr Bello Matawalle noted.
"On behalf of myself, my family and the entire Muslim Community of Zamfara state, I extend our condolence to the family of Dr Ahmad and indeed, the entire Muslims who will surely miss his guidance", the Governor announced.
May the soul of Dr Ahmad Ibrahim rest in perfect peace. Amin
