100 Days In Office: Hon.Olufumilayo Muhammed Flags Off Free Health Mission, Cash Gift, Food For the Elderly

In fulfilling her promise to her constituents, the Chairman Apapa Iganmu local council development area Hon.Dr olufunmilayo Akande Muhammed has organized a free health mission and poverty Alleviation programme for the aged and the vulnerable people in the whole of Apapa iganmu environs.

With the slogan ‘My community, my priority’, made available free test,free drugs,free treatment of diabetics,high blood pressure, malaria,HIV,typhoid fever,free eye screening and free eye glasses and many more.


In her remarks, she said  what she has done is to demonstrate more commitment towards promoting grassroots governance and inclusion and the focus will be on women in the program,she told then to make make good of the opportunity and be free with the medical personnel, and those with major ailment would be referred accordingly to general hospital and be monitored. 



She also gave our cash relief to the widows and the aged,which the idea and initiative she emulated from her political mother and mentor distinguished Senator Oluremi Tinubu OON who is passionate about the welfare of the women the aged and the elderly citizen.






She also promised the residents of the lcda that no sector will be left out which the economic empowerment for widows and aged will be a continuous yearly program.

The Chairman also noted that 256 benefited from the Program and she will continue to support the residents of Apapa because of the support given to her during her second term election bid.


The chief medical for health Apapa Iganmu Dr Bisi Ayuba said the Chairman Mrs olufunmilayo Akande Muhammed has so much passion for the community in which she used every resources to make the program a reality and a way of giving back to the society. 

She also advised the residents of the community to that health is very important and as the slogan says Health is wealth,she also noted that they should always go and check their health from time to time and not to wait till they fall sick.

Some of the beneficiaries appreciated the Chairman for the support and good gesture shown to them which will go a longway.

The Chairman and all her exco members gave out relief cash and food item to the aged and the vulnerable residents in the community.
