In giving back to the society and making her constitute Ta enjoy the dividend of democracy, the Chairman of Apapa Iganmu local council development area, Hon. Olufunmilayo Akande Muhammed has organized a cash relief funds for shop owners and the petty traders across all the seven wards in her Lcda to commemorate her 100days in office.
A total of 450 residents benefited from the cash relief funds even the other tribes were not left behind which they all received their cash before leaving the council secretariat.
The Chairman Hon. Olufunmilayo Akande Muhammed during her welcome address said being a business woman she knows that women are good manager of resources and no amount is too small if it is well managed.
She said the youths aged &widow,Artisans and party loyalist benefited from the empowerment program and it is also a way of appreciating them for standing by the party in the last election.
She went further saying that 215 petty traders collected the sum of 20,000 each and 211 shop owners collected a sum of 50,000 Naira each,which she will do more by presenting mini buses and give the Artisans tools to work like sewing machines, clippers,drier,grinding Machines makeup kits and many other items.
She then stressed that the money she is spending came from what is coming in for her as Jack from the Governor Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and saving a lot money from it,which all the money spent so far is like 150 million Naira. She said she is emulating the Governor of Lagos State Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and her Excellency distinguished Senator Oluremi Tinubu which she is also saving and will continue to save,she said i have an account called project account and financial assistant account which am trying my best to satisfy her people and giving back the dividends of democracy to them.
Some of the beneficiaries appreciated the Chairman for a Job welldone,which they said the money will go a longway and will add value to their businesses.
Cheques and cash gifts were then presented to the petty traders and shop owners in the Lcda by the Chairman.
