In fulfilling her campaign promises and giving back to the community, the Executive Chairman of Apapa iganmu local council development area Hon.Dr Fumilayo Akande Mohammed donates 6Toyota Sienna vehicles to some selected beneficiaries in the Lcda to commemorate her 100 days in office.
The beneficiaries of the program include the Amukoko Police Station, Orile Police Station,Council of Imams, Iyalode &Baale,CDC and other received the keys of their vehicles from the Chairman.
The Chairman Hon.Dr. Fumilayo Akande Mohammed while speaking to Dconnectnews said she used it to appreciate God and compensate the people that gave her support during the electioneering period and its just the beginning of great things. She said the police got another vehicle that got burnt during the end sars period and to encourage them to do more on securing the whole Apapa Iganmu environs.
She further that the presentation of 6 sienna cars is just the beginning which they are starting the 100days properly next week with Medical Mission which residents of the lcda will come for checkup in various aspects,empowering 200 Aged and widow,supporting shop owners with 50,000 Naira each,empowering youths with 20 Mini buses and 20 Keke Napep,empowering 156 youths with POS Machines with tables and chairs to do business,and the Artisans are not leftout.
She also advised the beneficiaries to manage the vehicles well so as the council can do more for them.
The council manager Mrs Morounkeji Okwuonu said the executive chairman did a lot during her first term in office that's why she came for second term and has kicked the ground rolling in her 100 days in office and has a lot to showcase during her 100days in office.
She said the Chairman who is also known as Iyalaya based her 100days celebration on empowering the residents of the lcda and the empowerment include Mini Buses to youths,keke napep,empowering Artisans,grinding Machines, sewing machines,deep freezers for petty traders,financial assistance to the elderly and widow and many more.
Some of the beneficiaries appreciated the good gesture of Hon. Chief Dr. Funmilayo Akande Mohammed (Iyalaya) and promised to always maintain and make sure the car is in good condition.
The 100 days of Hon. Chief Dr. Olufunmilayo Akande Mohammed will commence next week.
