Princess Surah Animashaun: I Want To Be Remembered For Bringing A New Phase of Development To Epe

Princess Surah Animashaun, the new Chairperson of Epe Local Government has expressed readiness to meet the yearnings of residents with various programmes that will bring a new phase of developments to the ancient town and its environs.

The new council boss said she's aware of the expectations from the people and she's willing to walk the talk and ensure life becomes easier for them.

Hon Animashaun made this remark while speaking with Dconnectnews after receiving her Certificate of Return at the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission LASIEC office, Yaba, Lagos on Tuesday.

This followed her victory during the last Local Government and local governments development council area elections which held across the 57 LG/LCDA in Lagos State on July 24.

Highlighting the various areas her programmes will cover, Hon. Surah Animashaun said, "My people have great expectations of me and I am willing and ready to work. I have mapped out my programmes as well. From agriculture, health, education to tourism sectors.

"Epe being a vast land surrounded by water has great tourism potentials. I want to face lift the town and boost tourism as a way of boosting our internally generated revenue IGR since we are blessed with the land, lagoons and so on.

The new council boss remarked further: "I want to do a lot of women and youth empowerment as well assure security. I want to also assist the less privileged and develop mother and child care centres. I have also mapped out programs for teachers. I want to encourage teachers to give their best to their pupils in Epe. These are some key areas I have already mapped out programs for and I am committed to making them happen to make life better for my people.

"I want my administration to be remembered for bringing a new face of development, face lifting and growth to the area. I am also working towards a private sector investment partnership for development in the area so I can set a pace and landmark," she concluded.
