Suggests Unique Measure to end insecurity
Another feather has been added to the cap of a former aide of Governor Kayode Fayemi and prominent son of Iyin Ekiti, Hon. Israel Adesokan as he was decorated with an award of excellence by the board of Roundoffnews Media Consult.
The honour was bestowed on Hon. Adesokan barely a week after the organization appointed him as its personality of the month.
Speaking at the ceremony in Ado Ekiti, the spokesperson for the media organization, Joseph Treasure affirmed that the decision was taken having critically observed the various humanitarian services genuinely carried out by the recipient over the years, hoping that the award would propel him to do more.
Receiving the honour, Hon. Israel Adesokan said he had made a pledge with God to impact positively in every vulnerable persons that comes his way not minding religion or political differrnces.
Hon Adesokan popularly known as Jaru described journalists as essential personalities who should be accorded better privileges and opportunities considering their role in building a better society with a promise to support Roundoffnews.
He thanked the board of Roundoffnews for the honour which he said was a challenge for him to do more.
Speaking on the rising cases of insecurity, Hon. Adesokan advised Federal and State governments to revert to the old "box method"where boxes were placed in strategic public places for people to drop useful information about security issues.
According to him, security agents operates optimally with information from the public but affirmed that many people were often scared to approach security agencies to release I formation due to the fear of unknown.
Jaru is was once a security officer affirmed that the public box system would help a lot while he also advocated better funding of security agencies to enable them embark on massive PR in the quest to get information from members of the public.
