Declares The 2ND African Church Biennial Conference Open......
Lagos State Governor Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu urged religious leaders to continue to exhibit christ-like behaviour, love one another, be prayerful, committed, faithful and be truthful to the service of God.
The Governor while declaring open the 2nd Biennial Congress of the African Church Arch Cathedral Bethel Broad Street Lagos.
Represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on religious matters Very Reverend Bukola Adeleke said "My Charge to the church and religious leaders today is to remain faithful, steadfast and immovable in the face of the circumstances and difficult situations we may be".
He congratulated the primate of the African Church, His Eminence Julius Olayinka Abbey,and the entire members of the cathedral, on the successful commencement of the 2nd Biennial Congress which he described as a commendable milestone.
On the theme " A New Beginning"taken from the book of revelation 21:5,the governor said he is reminding all believers about the promise of God to make all things new for those that will overcome the persecution of this world as a result of their commitment to the teaching and commandments of our lord Jesus christ.
The primate of the church His Eminence Julius Abbey said the church is in support of Mr Governor’s Theme Agenda and they will continue to pray for the Governor.
The Governor was then Confered with the Title of 'Tunleshe Of Lagos State' and was presented with an award by the primate of the church.
