Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, has enjoined the good people of the State to remain hopeful and united, fully conscious that this year will be one of restoration as prophesied in the book of Joel 2: 25.
In a New Year message made available by his Senior Special Assistant, Media and Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, Governor Emmanuel, urged the people to "remain hopeful and not allow the raw and negative passions of partisan politics tear or sever the cords of our unity and shared aspirations. Politics will come and go, but the soul of the great people of Akwa Abasi Ibom State remains sacrosanct, immutable and resilient."
He assured the people that God willing, he will work in the New Year to complete a lot of the projects enshrined in the Completion Agenda. " I ask for your continuous support and prayers as we gird our loins to change the narratives and course of our development. Happy New Year to us all !"
