The Methodist Church Nigeria in thanking God, celebrate what he has done for them as one big family and to also assess the progess of God's work in the church especially in respect of the review of 2006 constitution of the church and brainstorming on the way forward came together for the opening Eucharistic service for 47/12th Bennial Conference in Lagos.
The conference with the theme Here Am I! Send Me has in attendance the prelate Methodist Church Nigeria His Eminence Chukwuemeka Kanu Uche, Secretary Of Conference The Right .Rev Michael Akinwale,Prelate Emeritus His Eminence Sunday Ola Makinde,Archbishops, Bishops and leaders of the church.
In his Sermon The Right Rev Samuel Nortey urged all Ministers of God in the Church to reexamine their calling and ask theirselves if they are operating by the holyorder.
The Prelate Methodist Church Nigeria His Eminence Chukwuemeka Kanu Uche said Methodist Church members are called to embrace God's prevailing grace to be saved which comes to them through Jesus Christ alone.He also said Nigerians should expect Methodist Church Nigeria grow financially and upgraded.
The Right Reverend Michael Akinwale,the Prelate Emeritus His Eminence Sunday Ola Makinde, conference lay President sir Folu Aremu said Methodist Church is one big family that will continue to grow and uphold the word of God.
The outcome of the conference is expected to witness the consecration of bishops and lay presidents at the church Headquarters in Tinubu Lagos Nigeria.
