The All Progressives Congress (APC) has secured two out of five governorship seats in South-East zone as political realignment commences ahead of 2023 general elections.
This follows the defection of Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to APC.
The governing party is now ruling in Imo and Ebonyi States while PDP still control Enugu and Abia states.
Meanwhile, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has maintained the dominance in Anambra state.
Recall that Umahi last week informed PDP National Chairman of his plans to leave the party for APC.
