NASFAT WOMEN DONATES TO LASUTH

The Women Wing of the Nasrul-Lahi-Li Fathi Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), donated some hospital equipment to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in accordance with the tenets of the Islamic religion and as part of the activities to celebrate their 21st Annual Women’s Week.

Mr. Kehinde Gbajumo, the Director of Hospital Administration & Human Resources, who received the delegation on behalf of the hospital management, thanked the team for the gifts, adding that the kind gesture will enhance the existing cordial relationship between the two bodies.

He stated that the noble intentions of religious organisations are always greatly appreciated, saying that the women should not relent in their efforts at making more of such donations to support the hospital in providing one of the best healthcare delivery services in the country.

Speaking in the same vein, Dr. Modupe Idris, Head of the Ophthalmology Unit of the hospital and a member of the NASFAT Women Wing, appreciated the women for the gesture, noting that despite the global pandemic, they were still able to pull resources together to donate to the hospital.

While praising the women for their efforts, Mrs. Adebola Aina, Deputy Director, Nursing Services expressed her appreciation to the group for the donation to LASUTH, stressing that the items will be put to judicious use.

Earlier, Alhaja Salaudeen Azzezat, a retired nurse from LASUTH and spokesperson of the team, stated that NASFAT Society had been in partnership with LASUTH for the past five years and hoped that both parties would continue to work hand-in-hand to render necessary help to the needy.
